family life

its been a few years since ive been home to vermont. it was nice to get some quality family time in. especially when you can share that with one of your besties...
mom, kara and i:

i spent alot of time with these two growing up -
getting creemees, playing 'snap', family dinners, holidays...

this is my 'meme and bobby', who are very very dear to me.
(aka my grandparents)

i also spent an afternoon with my 93 year old nana, who i unfortunately dont have a photo of. during our visit, she gave me a scarf that she had just knit, sang me a rendition of two songs she had played earlier on the piano, told me a joke and proved to me that life is what you make of it.
love you, my nutty nana.

my uncle rob and aunt holly were kind enough to take me out to their farm for some horseback riding. its the quintessential vermont farm. they have a maple syrup operation, christmas tree grove, horses, river, fields...
its one of the most peaceful spots i know:

heres holly and her horse alex, getting ready for our ride.
handsome guy.

alex says:
'dont forget to brush!'

  1. do you think your aunt and uncle want to adopt me? I want to go live on their farm... it sounds amazing and just up my alley... well at least for a little while! ;-)
