went to LA recently to bring leigh to warner bros. records for some tips and advice from my good friend nick (spank you very much nick!). got some short but sweet time in with nick and rebecca, then rolled down to SD to see one of my besties kara. we decided to head to baja for a few days before leigh left the states. you know - get a little mex in before he headed off on the rest of his world wide adventures (envy envy).
if you havent driven thru baja before - this is what a good portion of it looks like. sort of like the moon with a bunch of cacti. (weird that i claim to actually know what the surface of the moon looks like)
of course, knowing that baja IS a peninsula (hopefully you knew that) there WAS a little bit of water here and there!and a few nice sunsets.
but mostly - it was just your typical mexican fare:
piles of junk.how the hell did that get up there?
stray dogs.this "perrito" very nearly had a new sister named bijou and a long ride back to utah.
THIS close im telling you, THIS CLOSE.
donkeys.
'hola, muchacha.'
'tienes cervezas?'
and giant margarita glasses.both full and empty.
personally prefer the full ones, but whatev.
(note leighs gigantic smile... yeah. they were damn tasty)
gotta love mex.
