after a couple of weeks at home to pack everything up (BIG BIG thanks to neale, tully, timmy, and nollie on this one) and to say goodbye to all our pals; bijou and i hit the road to head 'back east'. leaving utah is always tough - it really is one of my favorite places on earth - so beautiful:
fireworks, windmills and ranches.
(i can hear you northwest corner wyomingers whining from here - yes, its nice in the tetons!)
wait. am i in nevada or wyoming?
one thing that wyoming did get right is the drive through liquor store. i mean this really is the coolest - we drove through this one at 10am. bijou wanted a rum and coke and i a gin and tonic. you can drink and drive,
but you cant be drunk and drive!
south dakota was a whole new world for us, we had never been there before. it was filled with lots of beautiful open space - grasslands, old homes and really old residents:
and farms... this one was next to the infamous WALL DRUG which was the biggest tourist trap in the middle of nothing that i'd ever been to. didnt even deserve a photo. yuck.
but it was also kinda scary in south dakota... yikes
must be they're after these guys:
