theres something really interesting to me about lite and its effects on us humans. different colors and intensities can completely change your mood. ive seen some amazing lite installations that were strangely powerful to me. i really like being in their presence and trying to sense their intentions...
the 'crown fountain' in chicago's millennium park is absolutely awesome in the true sense of the word. it changes color and imagery constantly and water pours down from the top of the two towers like rain down to the lites below. you could sit there for hours and ponder it... cant wait to go back someday and pack an evening picnic just to sit and watch it.
saw this mobile installation called 'volume' on the banks of the thames in london just outside the royal national theater. they allowed visitors to walk admist these lcd lites while they changed color and shape to massive attack songs. (they were hosting a music festival that week at the theater) i think this is my favorite - because the music really added to the experience.

driving through LA recently on wilshire blvd and came across this installation of cast iron lamps. had to pull over and check it out... its a magical feeling walking through them. and when looking back up at the variety building, with the moon just rising over it; i thought the batman symbol might flash over at any moment. very gotham-like. sooooo cool.

you have got to submit your photography to contests and then start doing this professionally. I am not sure you know how good you REALLY are.
