parcs of paris

decided to stroll a few of the northern parcs today.

started by walking up the banks of ‘canal st martin’ to the ‘bassin de la villette’.

more ‘paris plages’:

great spot to sit and have lunch overlooking the basin:

crepe with bacon, egg, and honeyed goat cheese.

complete with glass of rose. 

heaven.

after that, i strolled up to parc villette to watch the horse races:

then, on to ‘parc des buttes chaumont’ for a lovely view of ‘sacre coeur’:

along the way, passed the usual…

cat out a window on a leash.

um. what?

and on to parc de belleville, for one of the best views in the city:

after all that walking, i was beat.

so, took the metro one stop short of home:

so that i could stop by and pick up my daily patisserie:

(i really should try them ALL, right???)
