my cultural attaches and i headed out for another day of international education. we hopped on our bikes to check out open house day at the embassies of the EU. very cool. some of the ‘bigger’ ones had MASSIVE lines, so we avoided those. who the hell wants to visit the italian embassy anyway? (tee hee. thats for you ferruccio! ;)our first stop on the tour… hungary:this is the coolest! some hungarian guy invented transparent concrete.imagine the possibilities… BRILLIANT!doesnt it make all kinds of sense to have those little moon shaped china side plates?next up:and we all know ONE thing the czech’s are good at…BEER!and apparently, colorful, striped, skinny ‘package enhancing’ jeans:next stop: Denmark!land of legos and those yummy morning pastries… wink wink.dont you just adore these two? i do!SPAIN!and lastly: Sweden!great spot on the waterfront in georgetown. sadly they’d just shut for the day.oh, and iceland is located in the same building!and, yes it was just a tad windy.
